The Unabridged
Memoir
Create your own collection of personal reminiscences
The Unabridged Memoir combines the practice of journaling and memoir writing, encouraging you to write more than the typical memoir. It creates a regular practice inviting you to explore your hopes, fears, and joys on the page.
Each month you will receive a writing prompt as inspiration directly to your letterbox. You don’t need to be a writer to use the prompts. All you need is a passion for sharing your story. Grab a journal or laptop and let the words flow to create your memoir.

“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.”
― Anaïs Nin
Hello, I’m Sarita, writer, poet and storyteller from Perth/Boorloo.

I created The Unabridged Memoir from the lived experience of losing a loved one and longing to know more of her stories. I was compelled to write my own stories as a keepsake for my son but found that I needed a way to keep myself accountable.
